Dentistry
I don’t like to dwell on the negative but I wouldn’t be
truthful if I said my favorite place to spend my lunch break is at the
dentist. Dentistry not necessarily the
dentist (although there have been a few I wouldn’t return to) just isn’t my
favorite event to take part in. I like
to refer to it as a necessary evil. Well
yesterday I had a dentist appointment that was made clear about in 2011; which
in my world is a million years ago.
Forgive me but for some reason I just like big numbers. I guess the advantage to making an
appointment so long ago is that one forgets the reason for the
appointment. Case in point yesterday
when I went to my dentist appointment I fully expected to get my teeth
cleaned. However, this was not the
case. Upon my arrival I was escorted
back to the non-teeth cleaning area. I
inquired why am I here? Oh today you are
going to get a crown. Special says
I. It was the royalty visit. In reality it is probably best I didn’t
know. I had no time to fret. An hour and a half later I was headed back to
work with a delightful temporary and instructions to not chew anything. Note to
self don’t schedule dentist appointments during the lunch hour unless of course
you are dieting in which case it is a perfect time!
